  • Fired up today

    In the good way.

Had a great response last night from people wanting to get involved in running for positions in their precinct and especially current players who showed up and said they local party is broken and wanted to hear our solutions and approach.

We are shooting for a minimum 500% increase in the number of people who run for county committee in their precinct beginning February 16. That is a number that we can achieve. Then when we look at the tally of who is on the ballot we can then mount write in campaigns in the districts that failed to get people on the ballot.

Last year 8 people in my county ran for 142 positions. The ones who were not elected, were appointed. It is no wonder that we have a dysfunctional party, we allowed it to be that way. No sense complaining about it, we have gone into full action and are changing it NOW.

Got to close here and get ready to go to the public seminar on Interstate 80 tolling. Here in PA, Fast Eddie Rendell  is trying to stack the goodie bag full in his last term by taking from the rural sectors and giving to the urban centers. Not so quick Eddie.

Anyone who votes to toll I-80 loses their job as we will campaign long and hard against them. Our current state rep won a write-in cmapaign against a long term rep who voted for the toll.

    Off to the trenches.

Ok John.  So do you think I oughta run for committee man?  In my county there are (I think) 68 Republican committeemen and the same number of committeewomen.  I was a committeeman back in 1994-1995. I seemed pretty much of a waste of time, more like a bunch of cheerleaders for whoever the Republican candidate happened to be.

@RightVote - Yes I do. Obviously the job is short of prestige. But this is how the parties are taken back, by conservatives getting back in. I am not a cheerleader either. I believe if we follow the Clark County models of infliltration, we can regain control of our parties and get quality candidates on the ballot. Now whether you run or if you just enable two people that you think will be fired up and not want to play the game to run...same difference.

It doesn't bother me to be odd man out and say hold on. That starts the ball rolling. I am tired of these bozos picking the winners and losers before primary. I think we should vote all the people on the state caucus who backed candidates for governor and US Senate already out as well. That is how we end up with bozos like Specter amd maybe TC.
