Part of me is completely unsurprised at this information.
Part of me is inclined to believe some of the conspiracy theories...
All things considered though, I'm thinking there had to be a combination of ineptitude and intent for this to get past.
*sigh* Why am I not surprised.
Okay, maybe on some things you could understand the negligence, but really...if they had that information and sat on it, this makes me think that his superiors really don't give a flying rip about their soldiers or anyone else. How could ANYone think this was insignificant? Every day I grow more and more convinced that the blatant "errors" we see flying fast and furious are not errors at all. They're just too much to believe. If If I find out that my son's day care providers have been selling child porn, do I just keep on giving them the benefit of the doubt? No way does this make sense!
It really ticks me off that they didn't stop him when they had the chance... I mean, really. He was talking to freakin' Al Qaeda!
i believe it was on another of your posts i told the story about amazingdoggo when the army wasnt aware he had been discharged for about a year and was still checking on a security clearance for him,,,,
how fast do you expect the government to react to information??
and of course he didnt fall under the guidelines to be a suspicious character,,, he wasnt a veteran....
you fall under suspicion once your out of the military,,,
you cant of course suspect a muslim probably under any circumstance,,, that would fall under a hate crime wouldnt it??
All I can figure is that the politically correct crowd has so infiltrated the military that this is what's going to go on. Could the folks in the military simply be following the rules that they are stuck with...can't pick out a Muslim because that would be pointing him out because he's a Muslim. Ridiculous...stupid...I don't think those words even come close to describing this...The man was a Major...seriously!!!???
Best quote..."we need to being taking a closer look at all of our people." HELLO....anybody home???
They worship the false god of diversity rather than the interest of our safey and the safety of our military...we've got an administration that thinks the real threat is the right wing folks"...Michelle Malkin
@The_Ragged_Edge - did the masses get the government they deserve-the one that destroys our form of government?
@mrcolorful - at times it can be numbing, at other it just preserves the stew and strengthens the resolve. you may like my next post.
@mejicojohn -I havent heard the term frag for a long time
@firetyger - it increases my focus on the extent that he is unfit for command and that the congress is willing to undermine our military.
If you want to bring homes the troops, just do it. Quit playing CIC, bring them home. Why is the song Hair of the Dog (chorus) by Nazereth going through my mind?
@homefire - I felt the same way, willing to cut major slack (pun not intended), but to cut this major slack or to let a investigation get to this point, is derelcition on some one or someones part. We need to know who knew what when and start holding people to account. Otherwise, what do you want to bet you start seeing more fragging going on.
@AnamcharaConcepts - The core of this issue needs to be discovered,
Kind of off topic but its vaguely related and something that I'm a little confused about.
How was it possible for the shooter to kill so many people. Why didn't any of the soldiers rush him to try and stop him? Sure he had a gun but he would have to reload at least once wouldn't he? If he did reload or switch guns then why didn't one of the soldiers take that opening, short though it may be, to rush him and tackle him or wrestle the gun away from him. I would think that even if such an attempt had been made then the stories about it would have come out even in the case of a failure yet I've heard no such stories.
