Making a House Call
Took a trip do DC to make a house call.
Called on Tuesday to let them know we were stopping in
Staff very welcoming
HR 3962 on left and HR 3400 on right that (Rep. Thompson is supporting )
My daughter and I in Rep. Thompson's office
GT's assistant Daryl. Our Representative called us on the cell as soon as he got back in the office after the rally and having lunch with his wife. He offered to give my daughter a tour of the Capital and sit down and meet with us again.
Since he is speaking to our "sister group" on Veterans Day, we let him know how much we appreciated his offer and will take a rain check on it.
When we got to the House office building our line looked like this:

and the lines at Cannon Office Building were even longer

Awesome John! I wish I could've been there. Had I been off of work I would've went. I saw a video on youtube last night, I can get you the link if you would like. The news was reporting 1,000's. Then I heard 25 - 40 thousand. From the video I watched and thinking about a stadium crowd it looked more like 75 - 100 thousand or more. What's your take?

@mrcolorful - I have a lot more pix and a ton of video but I am not sure what the video looks like as I could not see the stage, or what the audio quality was.
@DDDYGRLS4 - It was good to take my daughter, she love the city and enjoys the architecture.
@dropsofjupiterihh - I was wondering if you made it or not, I heard 24 buses came from Ohio. This was a different crowd from 9/12 most likely from being a weekday.
The test results came back, she is is great health, but he did say to keep candy bars around during competition because in her one test she had excellent numbers after a fast, but did not spike much with sugar drink and then dropped below fasting reading by two hours after the drink. He approved her sports physical which HE would not do if he was concerned about there being any problem. He thought perhaps under extreme exhertion she may have became hypoglycemic
hope you told them sons-of-bitches what you think of them...
@bukeshow - I havent listened to the videos yet, but I do know how to provoke some thought in a crowd. My US Rep will vote NO on Pelosicare. He supports HR 3400.
That's good news! I'm glad it was something simple.
Yeah, the crowd didn't look as big but still a nice size.
