Quit working with them!
Go Harry!Senate majority leader Harry Reid tells Max Baucus to quit working with republicans on healthcare reform.
I love open and transparent government. Where's the sunshine you were griping about boys?
And while we are on the subject of open and transparent government, enter Sheriff Joe Biden.
Joe Biden update: No 'private meetings,' just meetings closed to the press < P/>
And while we are on the subject of the party who promised transparency, who could forget Sheriff Joe?
Joe Biden update: No 'private meetings,' just meetings closed to the press
With all the concern expressed about those who are a heartbeat away from the Oval Office I thought you would especially apprecuate the wisdom and logic of our second in command. Andrew Malcom reports (excerpted),
We've especially noted Biden's innumerable "private meetings" that are closed to the press because, well, they're private.
And we've wondered aloud how this Democratic VP's private meetings with unnamed people on unnamed subjects differs from the private meetings with unnamed people that his evil predecessor had that got so many Democratic senators and representatives worried about nefarious secrets.
On one recent long weekend, the man who became a Delaware senator when his future boss, Barack Obama, was an inexperienced fundraiser of only 11, devoted an entire Monday to "private meetings" that are closed press in his Delaware home.
If that isn't dedication for the $208,000 salary.
Well, today's schedule, unlike many at the end of Biden's work weeks, contains no "private meetings." Not one.
Having spent Thursday traveling and successfully selling the nation on the so far hard-to-detect effects of the $787-billion Obama administration economic stimulus spending plan that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave them, Biden will show up for work around 11 today.
He'll join Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in a roundtable to discuss only the rising costs of healthcare for people who own or work for small businesses. One suspects the absent president's ambitious plan to spend billions more to impose his healthcare reforms might also be mentioned.
According to the White House schedule, Biden will not spend the remainder of the workday in private meetings that are closed press.Instead: "The Vice President will spend the remainder of the day in meetings that are closed press."
You get the difference, right?
A heartbeat away from the oval office...... Your government in action. Where is quagmire when you need it?

they were liars, they are liars, they will always be liars....
The current Congressional leadership is simultaneously the most interested in talking about "bipartisanship" and the least interested in actually working with the other side that I've ever witnessed. Highly hypocritical, the majority party is.
@tialoca_talks - "me thinks" honesty is neither their forte or strong suit.
@randomneuralfirings - I really havent understood the mixed signals myself. If you are going to bulldoze, just do it. I think Harry may have something in common with Tom Daschle next election. Thanks for the rec.
@randomneuralfirings - @tialoca_talks - If the video wasnt working for you, it is fixed now.
I sometimes doubt that they even know the meanings of words like honesty and openness and bipartisanship.
@mrcolorful - at least with "sometimes" you see the glass as half full Tim
Oh, what ever would we do without good ol' Joe? Obama's VP pick sure is a winner.
@Real_Patriot_37 - it would be hard to tell if he ever starts losing a grip with reality from aging/deteriorating mental conditions wouldnt it? It doesnt seem like he has a full grasp on it now.
@ProvokingThought - Tell me about it! Luckily for us, though, smack-dab in the middle of Obama's wall of protection around his "transparent" administration, Biden's the gaping hole to its infrastructure.
are they politicians, yes - from that point on the liar part is taken for granted
Sad to say there are still a lot of members of the newer generation that fail to realize this.
Democrats are fond of using words they don't understand - remember Clinton defining "is"?
I think they want to keep anything with Biden involved private just because of the stupid stuff he always comes out with.
I signed up for school yesterday. I'm going to start out with the business just because the classes are held on campus - business and accounting both start with the same classes. After I'm through with the classes that are the same, I'll switch to the accounting. I think it will be about a year. Thanks for your input, John. It influenced my decision. I really didn't want the business anyways. I told my counselor that the ultimate goal would be a position at a non-profit or higher education.
@dropsofjupiterihh - Reminds me of the "jester"
Off topic-and all this time I thought we were friends.......I went to send you something and found out we weren't
Democrat Dictionary:
Ethics: Situational sense of right and wrong.
Illegal: An act for which a law exists to make it a punishable offense AND has been caught, AND the State run media agrees is wrong and reports on it.
Accountability: Something you require of everyone else, but never yourself.
@ProvokingThought - lol I'll go and accept you as a friend. I stopped automatically doing the friend thing for everyone when people started spamming me with stuff.
@dropsofjupiterihh - I am also selective about acceptance. I actually go read peoples bios, a few posts of theirs and the blog rings they belong to. A little pre-filter can save a lot of what many people tout as trolling. I was just going through my friends list the other day.
