man, you got great taste in music!

@ShamelesslyRed - when I was up there in Philadelphia Saturday morning how people are taking it made me think of Petty- You dont HAVE TO live like a refugee.

I spent four hours talking to my cousin friday night who used to be a wall street banker and is now in Dallas in the same line of work, discussing how this is what makes no sense to them...where is the outrage, where is the anger, where is this is enough (the indebtedness that Congress has put us into)?

He also is neither a democrat or republican and completely anti-incumbantand advocates a complete overhaul of the political parties and system.

I wish I could've gone to a Tea Party for 4th of July.  Atlanta's got canceled over partisan issues with the property it was to be held on, then reschedule just a day or two before to a different location, so the turnout wasn't all that big here from what I've read.  I'm happy to see other areas had great turnouts.  I still hope this is the beginning of something that will grow.  We can't afford to sit silent anymore.

@DirtyAndShaken - Philadelphias had conflicting information. I looked up to see if Philadelphia had one and the site I saw said 12-3. Then Phillys parade rerouted to encompass the tea party, meaning you had to cross the parade route to get to it.

I planned on going to the first hour of it, but when I got there the flyers said 3-5. I am not sure if it was a last minute adjustment or not.I am still glad I went to independence hall, the peoples spirit was not dampened but the adjustments they had to make.

We had a tea party down here too.

"Give me liberty or give me debt"... stuck to my mind.

Great video.  There were probably a few women that I know down there.  I liked the sign that said "God only requires 10%".  How many do you think attended?

@Angieprays - Hi Angie. I guess the girls are back now from their tour. Hope they enjoyed it and found it to be a worthwhile experience.

I just went back to check and the rally was set for 12-3 but it really seemed to lack organization. There were also some diverse ties to local anarchists who were piggybacking on the campaign of libertys efforts in this.

I also found that to be one that stuck out (give me debt)

@dropsofjupiterihh - I would not venture a estimate because of what I viewed was lacking true organization but MOL some tents/booths and people who showed up. There were people walking back and forth between the parade and the tea party so it was hard to tell which they came for,  Many were happy they made it across the street through the parade. I wasnt there for the whole event though so my observations may not be fair. I am giving my honest observation as if I was someone who just came upon the event and was getting a impression of it..I liked that sign too.

I spent the day cleaning up an apartment that was a perfect analogy for our economy - a mess caused by the irresponsible needing to be cleaned up by the responsible and hardworking.

  • ProvokingThought

@JJ_Ames - I take it "an apartment" is not "your apartment" or is it a picture story that one can be irresponsible and responsible , as long as they dont expect someone else to clean up the mess of their irresponsiblity? Mind rambles on...recognizes late hour...after listening to a hour video and having to re-install real networks premium browser that refused to work....a whole 'nother picture story...refusing to work after I paid the for the work.
